Dr. Longo conducts a thorough consultation to understand your past and present health history. Typically, x-rays are then taken to see in black and white what the problem areas look like. Remember, a symptom can be due to many different reasons. Dr. Longo then conducts a thorough orthopedic and neurological examination. This helps him better understand many aspects of your condition.
Dr. Longo will conduct a report of findings. This is when he shows you your x-rays, explains what the problem is, and recommends proper treatment protocols. He treats each individual in the way which best suits their needs. He is well versed in many different techniques. A young adult is treated differently than an elderly person. Dr. Longo will answer any questions you have, any time.

Trigger PointsTrigger Point
Is a localized area of muscle spasm. Applying pressure to the spasming muscle increases blood flow to the trigger point which flushes out lactic acids and other toxins in this area. This helps the muscle relax.
Intersegmental TractionIntersegmental Traction:

Helps mobilize the spinal segments and reduce muscular tension that supports the back thereby supporting the chiropractic treatment.

Adjustment or ManipulationAdjustment or Manipulation

Spinal manipulation or adjustment is applied to restore proper bio mechanics and function of the spinal structure. This takes the pressure off the source of the problem and allows the body to function at its proper level.
Interferential Electric StimulationInterferential Electric Stimulation

Used to relax hypertonic and spasming muscles, increase blood flow for healing and pump out fluid associated with inflamation and swelling thereby helping the healing process. Also helps decrease pain by stimulating the release of endorphins and enkephtons.
